Description

Chiloe is a Chilean Island found in the Tierra del Fuego islands, northernmost with a pleasant climate, fertile soil and good rainfall ideal for growing most plants, look it up on Google Maps, it looks very tranquil

The Chiloe Island is considered the home of potatoes.  An absolute botanical peculiarity of the island is the Canelo tree, whose pepper fruits are a fiery taste experience - the Chiloe pepper

As a chilli lover myself, this pepper could be the link of why chilli was referred to as pepper by the Portuguese and where the pepper has a heat to it, wherever the two plants are from this pepper does appear to have chilli like qualities and peppery fruity flavour notes

Limited harvest of 2 tons per year by just 50 local families, this pepper is a rare pepper to enjoy

The colour of the corns will vary from beige to red or almost black

If you do not like chilli heat this pepper is not for you

Grown in Chiloe Chile
