The Portuguese took the birdseye seed from Latin America and dropped it off at many ports around the world

Over the last 500 years each civilization that took to chilli has grown their own Birdseye chilli, so over this time the local climate has changed each of the Birdseye to create its own version of flavour

Indian Chilli is traditionally smoked dried, this Birdseye is no different with wonderful smokey flavour coming from typically a mixture of wood
