Whenever you get weird things appear on your plants the first thought is usually insects
However, the pictures you see here are white bumps that look like insects and eggs
When you run the leaves and nothing changes, and you cant see any insects moving about then what you have is called Edema
Edema is a build up of fluid deposits within the tissue - in this case the leaves
Normally this is caused by water logging in the soil or part of the soil
Found more commonly in indoor plants and growing
There is nothing wrong with the plant and will happily grow full size and produce healthy flavoursome hot pods
Little grit/stones in your soil and reduced watering will help to stop this from happening in the future
The leaves can be left on the plant; they will look the same without change for the rest of their cycle
