The eggs were hidden — so was the roast,
Who put the lamb behind the toast?
The carrots vanished (bunny's to blame),
And someone spiced the sponge with chilli flame.

Hot cross buns flew off the plate,
Uncle Dave’s on bun number eight.
Gravy’s swimming, peas are lost —
The Yorkshire puddings double-crossed!

Still we sit, bellies round,
Chocolate eggs stacked mound by mound.
Chaos, crumbs, and daffodil flair —
That’s Easter lunch… and we’ll be there!
