Description

Celery Seeds are not from celery as in the salad, the two plants that we know as celery were connected eons ago but split into the fresh celery sticks and the plant we take the seeds from
We use our Celery seeds ground down into a powder and we add 30% Table Salt to 70% Celery powder
I prefer to have flavour with a little flavour enhancer and not all about the salt with very little flavour, when sprinkled on baked potatoes, salads and vegetables

Celery Salt - Quick Reference
What is it?: A savoury seasoning combining salt with celery seed flavour.
Flavour: Salty, herbal and slightly bitter-sweet, with the familiar savoury character of celery.
Common uses: Tomato juice, Bloody Mary seasoning, potato salad, coleslaw, soups, eggs, chips and savoury rubs.
How to use: Use as a finishing salt or seasoning; reduce other added salt in the recipe.
Compare with: More immediately salty and easier to distribute than celery seed or celery powder alone.
Substitute: Use celery seed or powder plus ordinary salt, adjusting both to taste.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep sealed to protect the aroma and flavour.
Good to know: Celery salt is a seasoning as well as a spice blend, so it can change the total salt level of a recipe quickly.
