The De Arbol Chilli is Mexico's cayenne chilli, hot and flavoursome made easy to use being in powder form
Like all our chilli powder De Arbol chilli powder is 100% chilli, stems are removed and the whole chilli is ground to a lovely velvet powder
De Arbol is hotter than the standard cayenne out of India which is around 20,000 SHU, Arbol is rated at 70,000 SHU
Cultivated alongside other Mexican chilli so it compliments any low heat chilli you are using for flavour for a hotter backdrop
For authentic nacho salsa the De Arbol should be used along with other ingredients to create a fuller flavour and heat
De Arbol can be used in any cuisine or dish, great to add heat to Lasagne or other pasta dishes
As a guide 1 whole de arbol chilli pod weighs approx 1g, making 1/5th of a flat teaspoon of powder the same - 1 whole teaspoon of de arbol chilli will be a hot dish
