Description

The De Arbol Chilli is Mexico's cayenne chilli, hot and flavoursome!

De Arbol is hotter than the standard cayenne out of India which is around 20,000 SHU, Arbol is rated at 70,000 SHU

Lovely consistent colour throughout the Arbol pod, adds a warming note to any food

Cultivated alongside other Mexican chilli so it compliments any low heat chilli you are using for flavour for a hotter backdrop

For authentic nacho salsa the De Arbol should be used along with other ingredients to create a fuller flavour and heat

To see how to hydrate chilli please see our video here

De Arbol can be used in any cuisine or dish, great to add heat to Lasagne or other pasta dishes

Commonly used for Festive Wreath Decorations, pods are approx. 80% complete with stem in tact making them perfect for that look

The pods are whole and include the seeds, however due to the drying process the seeds are sterilised and it is very doubtful a seed will germinate

Each Dried Pod weighs approx 1g

Grown in Mexico

Packed in a Unit that handles Sesame Seeds, Mustard and Celery

    Good service

Got a big ol’ bag of chillies. Updated when shipped, quick delivery. Only problem was I didn’t know how much a dried chilli weighs. 200g is a lot of chillies. They are delicious (cayenne). Great in chilli/cheddar loaf.
