Brewing Instructions
Use approximately 2–3g of English Breakfast Tea per 250ml of water.
Heat fresh water to 95–97°C, pour over the tea and allow to infuse for 3–5 minutes before straining.
For drinking black, around 3 minutes produces a brighter, smoother cup. If adding milk, brew for approximately 4–5 minutes to develop the fuller body and strength needed to balance it.
Avoid exceeding 97°C or unnecessarily over-infusing the tea, as this can increase bitterness and astringency.
Serving Guidance
Serve black to appreciate the full character of the tea or add a splash of milk for a traditional English Breakfast Tea.
For a stronger breakfast cup, increase the amount of tea rather than dramatically extending the infusion time, helping to retain the tea's flavour without drawing out excessive bitterness.
For iced English Breakfast Tea, use approximately 4–5g per 250ml of water, brew at 95–97°C for 3–4 minutes, strain and allow to cool before serving over ice. Lemon can be added for a fresh citrus finish.
Common Uses
Perfect as a traditional morning brew and equally suited to tea breaks throughout the day. Serve black, with milk or use as a full-flavoured base for iced tea.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture and strong odours. Keep securely sealed after opening to maintain freshness, flavour and aroma.
