El Yucateco Habanero ‘kutbil-ik’ hot sauce is a recipe that was rescued from the ancient culinary traditions of the Mayans. Kutbil-ik means ‘crushed chilli’ in Mayan, and these chillies are the fiercely hot habanero variety.
El Yucateco has been making hot sauces for over 50 years, and is a much loved Mexican brand. They grow their own habanero chillies and annatto seeds for their range of sauces, which are enjoyed across the world.
Ingredients: Habanero peppers (40%), water, tomato, salt, onion, acidity regulator (acetic acid) (e-260), partially hydrogenated canola vegetable oil, spices, antioxidant (citric acid) (e-330), preservatives (sodium benzoate (E-260), stabilizer (xanthan gum) (e-415).
