Pasilla is a wonderful Mexican Chilli, if you have not tried you should

Cultivating a plant requires taking the seed from a parent whole pod that has the flavour and heat you are after and repeating over and over again to strengthen the flavours

The Pasilla chilli is such a chilli, the sweetness has been grown into a raison flavour from a chilli

Pasilla gives us sweetness and low chilli heat so good in food whether its Mexican, Tex Mex, BBQ or even Italian food

Use in Stews in the Winter and Sauces in the Summer, all year round supply for all year use

Low Heat around 5000 SHU

Can used to create a marinade or straight into a sauce with the hydration but still providing texture

The pods are whole and include the seeds, however due to the drying process the seeds are sterilised and it is very doubtful a seed will germinate

Each pod weighs between 3-5g

Grown in Mexico

I regularly buy chipotle & pasilla chillies together with Mexican oregano to go into the chilli we make for our loaded hotdog street food business. The quality and service is always excellent & I won’t buy from anyone else now. MrsP-The Dog House
