Description
El Yucateco Marisquera Red is a Mexican hot sauce created especially to complement fish and seafood, combining fresh habanero peppers with dried red chillies for a bright chilli flavour and gentle, tangy heat.
At approximately 1,398 Scoville Heat Units, Marisquera Red is considerably more about flavour than outright heat. The combination of chilli, citrus acidity and seasoning gives it a lively, savoury character that works particularly well with the fresh flavours of prawns, fish, shellfish and ceviche.
Despite its seafood origins, this is a very versatile table sauce. Splash it over tacos, grilled food and snacks, add it to marinades and dressings, or simply keep the bottle on the table whenever a mild chilli lift is wanted.

Common Uses
Fish & Seafood: Excellent with prawns, shrimp, grilled fish, calamari, mussels, oysters, scallops and octopus.
Ceviche: Add a few splashes to ceviche or seafood cocktails for chilli heat without overpowering the citrus and seafood flavours.
Fish Tacos: Drizzle over battered or grilled fish tacos along with cabbage, avocado and fresh lime.
Marinades: Mix into marinades for fish, prawns, chicken or vegetables.
