Like every trade, the spice world has its ups and downs. But one of the true joys for me is speaking with people from every corner of the globe who share a passion for great food—the elixir of life.

One of my contacts in India is heading to The Fern Brentwood Resort in Mussoorie at the end of the month for the very first Punjab di Khushboo food festival.

Nestled in northern India among rolling hills and mountain air, the resort is surrounded by nature’s green embrace. It’s the perfect setting for a festival that celebrates the bold and generous spirit of Punjabi cuisine.

The festival’s menu has been curated as a culinary journey through Punjab—changing daily. Guests can enjoy signature dishes like Atta Chicken, Mutton Beliram, Kunna Gosht, Patiala Chicken, Amritsari Kulche, and Taftan, all served with homemade chutneys and murabbas that capture the region’s rich food traditions.

One of my retirement dreams is to travel across India, tasting the endless flavours this incredible country has to offer. It might take me a few years—but I can’t think of a better way to spend them.
