Did you know we get the word Harvest from the old English name meaning Autumn. In India this is called Makar Sankranti amongst others, Sukkoth in the Jewish Calendar or Miki Autumn Harvest Festival in Japan.

Wherever you go there is a celebration of harvest time, the joyous time of collecting the crops grown over the last 6 months, back in the day it must have been happy times knowing you will have food for winter

Thankfully we live in times that have managed to be abundant all year round, while supply chains of been strained over the last three years work is being done around the world to increase yields

Whatever you chose to cook this autumn, everyone here hopes you enjoy the most flavoursome meals
