This is called Byadgi Chilli which comes in two types, Dabbi and KDL
KDL is named after the village where it is cultivated - Kundagol is small and plump very popular in the Haveri district of the Karnataka province in the south west of India for its colour and flavour and heat, similar to Dabbi with bags of flavour
Medium - Cayenne type heat with bags of flavour, perfect for any sauce in any cuisine let alone Indian Masalas
If you are fan of curries this is a must have chilli for many, nowhere else has this chilli
