Thunder Mountain is a traditional Capsicum annuum variety known for its extremely long, thin pods and reliable production. It is often associated with regional cultivation in China and is grown more for pod size and versatility than for strong heat.
Pods are exceptionally long and slender, frequently reaching 20–30 cm or more. They ripen from green to red when fully mature and have thin walls, making them suitable for drying, slicing, and fresh cooking. The distinctive length and shape are the defining characteristics of this variety.
