Description

Chilli Name: TRINIDAD SCORPION CARAMEL
Chilli Species: Capsicum Chinense
Chilli Origin: Trinidad
Chilli Heat: Superhot

Trinidad Scorpion Caramel is a colour variant within the Trinidad Scorpion group, selected for its distinctive caramel to chocolate-brown ripe pods. It is grown for extreme heat and strong chinense character, retaining the defining traits of the Scorpion type.

Pods are medium-sized, heavily wrinkled, and typically end in a pronounced scorpion-style tail. Fruits ripen from green to caramel or light brown tones when fully mature. Walls are relatively thin, contributing to rapid heat release when consumed.

Flavour is rich and fruity with earthy undertones, followed quickly by intense heat. Heat levels are classed as Superhot, commonly reported in excess of 1,000,000 SHU. The burn is fast-building and long-lasting, typical of high-heat Capsicum chinense varieties.

Plants are bushy and moderately tall, usually reaching 90–120 cm under good conditions. They require warm temperatures, consistent feeding, and a long growing season to achieve full pod development and heat potential.

The Trinidad Scorpion group originates from Trinidad, where these chillies have long been cultivated for their exceptional heat. The caramel-coloured form represents a selected phenotype rather than a separate historical landrace.

Germination temperature 28–30 °C. See our Water and Feed Guides for advise.

Chilli Seeds Qty is 5 per pack unless stated.
