Description
Very rare to find Rocotos dried or even fresh
Chilli originated in Latin America, being so there is evidence of their use throughout the civilisations of the lands history, especially the Rocoto, trace evidence has be found in the Guitarrero Caves in Peru, circa 10,000 years ago!
Humans have been flavouring their food since the climate stabilised and allowed us to settle
Rocotos belong to Capsicum Pubescents genotype, somewhat unique covering just the Rocoto Family
Superb flavour and aroma, hot for sure at around 80,000 SHU
Use like any other chilli or spice for a perfect blend of flavour finished with a heat kick
Due to the drying process the seeds are classed as not viable to grow plants, see our chilli seeds here if you would like to grow some Rocoto Plants
Grown in Costa Rica
