C. Annuum - Jindungo - 2011

I don’t know much about this Chilli and all I find most times are pictures of this plant - will update as we go along

16.05.11. Soil and Hydro version to see the difference as with most of the plants this year - and like the others in the hydro - growing taller and stronger stems

23.05.11. Good looking plant good growth this week as well, roots are starting to show at the bottom of the cube and pot

30.05.11. The two Jindungo have been put into a bigger pot and the NFT Tank - starting to become bushier now

06.06.11. I think the Jindungo in the tank is suffering like the Aussie Black with a lack of roots at this stage and lacking oxygen uptake, but still growing tall and strong like the soil - which was knocked over when the cat got into the room and caused a little chaos - she was in the dog house that night!

13.06.11. Finally starting to grow - need to learn how to grow the roots quicker to speed up the growth, but for now, this plant is very interesting - it grows branches out like its exploding - the one in the soil shows this better. Buds are starting to appear on the hydro plant which is very nice!

The Jindungo in the Soil has fared better and has a greater foliage - looking stunning in its explosive style

20.06.11. The soil plant is stunning and with lots of tiny buds now I reckon this will have the wow effect when they are fully open, the hydro is starting to get a growth spurt now but still far behind the soil version - the plant looks like it explodes similar to fireworks when it grows near foliage

27.06.11. The hydro Jindungo is growing taller and spindly so I have moulded the branches around string supports to make it look interesting, however the soil version will look stunning soon, new growth, buds flowers and now pods are forming, great looking plant so far

04.07.11. The plant is a sprawler - and flowering all over the place, several have already pollinated and pods will be seen tomorrow - once the first crop is over I will grow again and trim as it grows

11.07.11. Really is not suited to been grown in a large NFT Tank but looks interesting - the soil is really getting into the swing - buds flowers pods and the pods are darkening as I type so should be a very colourful display in a few weeks

18.07.11. The Jindungo in the tank will look great once the pods have turned red, but at the moment it looks like a plant on steroids - the amount of nutrients it has received with oxygen have sent the plant loopy with growth - the soil version is again a great looking plant at no more than 9 inches high and with a little pruning looks great - I havent pruned yet as I will wait for the season to finish and then I may make a Bonchi out of it

25.07.11. I have resisted to prune this plant as I do with all new types I grow - I like to see what nature does first - the hydro version is competing like mad with the plants around it and losing the battle I am afraid - will look great once the coloured pods come through, but as you can see from todays picture, the plant has a great structure to it, with lots of pods showing now - once they turn colour the true beauty will shine through

01.08.11. Plant is growing outwards but not taller which is an interesting feature - I keep thinking about pruning it but as always I want to see what it can do first before I start to shape it - the pods are now growing to full size

22.08.11. Pods are now starting ti turn red, and with the number of pods on the plant it should put on a great show

29.08.11. More pods are turning and as you can see from the latest photo, it will put on a great display

29.05.11 More pods have turned red - the pods are a light orange first and then red - they do turn very quickly - looking good

I have decided that this is the plant I will use first to turn into a bonchi when the pods are done - will see what happens

12.09.11. More pods turning red - will not be long now
