Quick Method
Place the ribs in a large sauce pan, add 1 teaspoon for a few ribs to 1 tablespoon for many and simmer for 1.5hr
Remove the ribs from the water and pat dry – cover in seasoning. At this point you can add salt if you wish, rub brown sugar or drizzle honey over the ribs
Bake in the oven at 200C/400F/Gas 6 for 20-30 minutes
Serve with baked pots and homemade coleslaw
The Long Method for fall of the bone
Pat the ribs dry and cover in the seasoning
Add salt if you wish – for me you can now marinate in a good ale, stout or lager for 24-48 hours, with this method add a few tablespoons of seasoning
Once you cannot wait any longer remove, pat dry and add more seasoning, salt if you wish, place in a baking tray and for the long method add a little water to the pan - cook on 175C/325F/Gas 3 for 8 hours – can be done in a slow cooker just as well
For Sticky Ribs
Once cooked smoother your ribs in bbq sauce, chipotle sauce and cook on high heat for 10-15mins
