Sumac is a wonderful herb from the Middle East traditionally centred in Turkish Cuisine
Sumac is a tree/shrub with its fruit being the part we use - often called sumac bobs, or sumach - sumaq
These fruits are taken, dried and ground down to produce a wonderful tangy crimson spice
Can be used in meat / veg meal, sauce, but particular good for making the best lamb kebabs
Most sumacs contain salt to enhance the flavour, our sumac is fresh and processed correctly so no enhancer is needed, just smell the spice before using to see what we mean

Great flavour, just goes so well with anything that has feta, love the fact it has no salt as feta is usually quite salty, so you can balance your flavours just right.
