Thyme Ground - Quick Reference
What is it?: Finely ground dried thyme for rapid, even distribution through foods and blends.
Flavour: Concentrated, earthy and woody with savoury mint and lemon notes.
Common uses: Seasoning blends, sausages, sauces, soups, stuffing, coatings and marinades.
Pairs well with: Garlic, rosemary, sage, bay, lemon, chicken, lamb and mushrooms.
How to use: Use sparingly and mix thoroughly, as the powder releases flavour faster than cut thyme.
Compare with: Stronger and less visually noticeable than cut thyme.
Substitute: Ground marjoram can work in lighter dishes, though it is sweeter and less resinous.
Storage: Keep tightly sealed because ground herbs lose aroma faster than whole leaves.
Good to know: Ground thyme is ideal when visible herb pieces are unwanted, but it can become dominant if measured as generously as cut leaf.

Finely ground and adds so much flavour with a small amount

Powerful aroma without the bits that stuck in your teeth
Can be used even for foods that get cooked for a minute or two (ie minute steaks.) A tiny pinch goes a long way, and there are no bits of dry herb to get between your teeth. Definitely should be used in moderarion, so lasts for a long time.

Delivery of Thyme ground
Finally got my delivery of Thyme Ground that was posted to me on 1st Dec and it arrived today on the 13th Dec. So took 12 days,through Royal Mail workers going on strike. Not looking good for Christmas deliveries.

Ground thyme
I just received packet of ground thyme carefully packaged and in excellent condition. On opening it has left such a beautiful aroma throughout the house. I look forward to using it and receiving its benefits.
