White Peppercorns are black peppercorns without its coat!
Pepper is a seed with a coat, black peppercorns are the coats ripened, this is removed leaving the white seed behind
As with the Tellicherry Black Peppercorns being created by allowing the plant to mature fully producing a superior white peppercorn, the plant species however is different to the Tellicherry with the peppercorns maturing to a red skin
White pepper has a floral earthy flavour with the spicy flavour being removed with the black coat

This was one of the peppers recommended to me by Steve after I had given him the names of the 2 peppers I had tried and liked. This has been another firm favourite and is currently my number one for white pepper. I will be slowly and surely trying all the different types however :-)

White Muntok Peppercorns
I was recommended to try these after describing the white organic peppercorns I normally use. I am delighted to say these are just as good and if anything they have a more pungent flavour. I will definitely be purchasing again I can’t say yet if they will be my new favourite, as I need to check out the other peppercorns first
