Aji Charapa is wild variety found in the northern region of the Peruvian jungle, close to the city of Iquitos. In this area, the people are called "Charapas", hence its name.

They may be small but they pack a punch of flavour and heat, good fruity flavour to start with then along comes the heat - around Vindaloo type heat at 70,000SHU
