Quick Reference
What is it?: Fine Mexican Pacific sea salt smoked with apple wood from Chihuahua.
Flavour: Deep but slightly sweet smoke with quick, even salt dispersion.
Common uses: Add directly during cooking or sprinkle at the table; start lightly because the fine grain spreads rapidly.
Pairs well with: Pork, chicken, vegetables, eggs, beans and barbecue dishes.
Compare with: Easier to use directly than coarse apple-wood salt, but without the grinder texture.
Substitute: Coarse apple-wood smoked salt can be ground down.
Storage: Keep sealed in a cool, dry place away from steam and moisture. For smoked or delicate finishing salts, close the pack promptly to protect their aroma and crystal texture.
Good to know: The fine grade gives immediate smoke across the whole dish, while the coarse version is better for grinding and visible crystals.
