Naga powder is very fine, it will create a reaction just breathing in, while we say spices should sing to your senses from the aroma, naga powder will make your senses hate you with a passion - it is that good!
To get the best from chilli heat up and simmer for a few minutes to release the oils that make this a great hot chilli
The only difference between whole and powder is ease of use and texture within your dish, for quick use I use powder, for weekend cooking sessions its whole pods, always ensure to get your chilli powder from reputable sources

The one which has made the biggest difference is the Naga Bhut Jaloka I am a curry chef and make around 24 portions of curry in one session Naga Bhut Jaloka is essential for a good authentic curry of BIR restaurant quality. I can rely on chilli's from this supplier for these reasons 1) no additives, many producers bulk up their chilli powders with other grains, then dye the mix with red food colouring to fool you, resulting in all of your flavours sucked out, but with Chilli's on the web you get 100% chilli powder. 2) you need a responsive supplier who you can depend on, Steve is exceptional after sales is perfection. 3) established business with a massive range, they don't stand still and rest on their laurels. Don't buy your chilli powder from the supermarket, or in big bulk bags from cheap stores, you will be buying unknown fodder to bulk up the bag. I strongly recommend buying from Chilli's on the web
