Description
Chilli Name: PIMENTA SPARANISE
Chilli Species: Capsicum chinense
Chilli Origin: Italy (Sparanise)
Chilli Heat: Very Hot
Pimenta Sparanise is a striking Capsicum chinense variety valued for its fruity aroma and abundant production. Fatalii Seeds lists it as a hot-heat chinense with strong habanero-like flavour and aroma, producing vigorous plants with attractive pods.
Pods are elongated and smooth, ripening through green to creamy white with purple striping at maturity. They are thin-walled and well suited to both fresh use and drying for flakes or powder.
Flavour combines fruity sweetness with a clean, pungent heat typical of C. chinense types. While there is no official Scoville Heat Unit figure published by Fatalii Seeds, external seed-seller data and grower experience place Pimenta Sparanise around the 100 000–300 000 SHU range, classifying it firmly in the Very Hot category.
Plants are moderately compact and can perform well in containers or garden beds in temperate climates. The variety is not fully stabilised, so pod shape and colour may vary slightly between generations.
Germination temperature 28–30 °C. See our Water and Feed Guides for advise.
Chilli Seeds Qty is 5 per pack unless stated.
