ResQ was formed by people with backgrounds in Biltong and fruit growing, they created a way of rescuing this fruit and “Stopping the Clock” to create delicious, pure fruit ingredients. The mission of saving UK grown surplus has now widened from berries, to include both apples and citrus. To date we have rescued over 110,000 kilos of surplus fruit and have only just begun
ResQ pioneered its own air-drying technology.
- Gently extracts the water content of the fruit without losing fibre, flavour or aromatic oils.
- This ‘low and slow’ drying technique intensifies the natural fruit flavour and the water extracted is captured
- ResQ purpose-built factory is in based in Chichester, West Sussex located on the site of the largest berry farm and currently has the capacity to rescue 700,000 Kg of fruit per annum
