Ginger comes from the root of the Zingiber officinale plant, a lovely grass stemmed flowering plant
The Ginger root is cut off and dried, imported into the UK and ground to our specification
If ginger powder does not remind you have your favourite dish, mine is ginger biscuits, then its not good ginger!
Ginger like many root spices comes from two schools of spice producers, the first is the bad one where they extract all the goodness and sell as ginger extract, ours is 100% pure ginger root just dried and ground, when you smell the ginger you will know its pure ginger powder

Ground ginger powder
I really would not have believed that there could be so much difference between this ground ginger and the jars of ground ginger I have previously bought from supermarkets. But there IS a distinct difference - this ground ginger has a superior fresher taste and zing to it that supermarket ginger does not have. It really does make a difference to the taste of cakes, sauces, and stir fries that you just don't get from jars. I will never buy ground ginger anywhere else now!

I love this product. It's only the second time I've bought it because I don't use it a lot but I will buy more. It's so aromatic I just love to open up the package when it arrives. Speedy delivery, lovely spice; what's not to like?

Excellent aromatic ground ginger
This ground ginger is far superior to the small pots you buy in a supermarket. It is much more pungant and means you do not need to use as much. Perfect to add when making gingerbread and ginger biscuits.
