Sweet Nectar of Oranges must be loved the world over
Oranges are grown in Spain under their perfect orange growing climate, dried and the peel (zest) is cut to a uniformed flake
The inner white membrane is not used as it has a bitter flavour
The peel is used in many recipes especially sweets so ensure your orange peel is clean and best grown for maximum flavour, use to add a citrus zest in sauces or deserts

Orange Peel Granules 3-5mm - Quick Reference
What is it?: Dried Spanish orange zest cut into relatively chunky 3-5mm granules, without the strongly bitter white inner pith.
Flavour: Sweet, fragrant orange oil with mellow citrus bitterness.
Common uses: Cakes, marmalade-style bakes, tea blends, mulled drinks, tagines, sauces, chocolate and spice mixes.
Pairs well with: Chocolate, cinnamon, clove, ginger, fennel, duck, pork and cranberries.
How to use: Add directly to recipes that allow the pieces to hydrate, or steep and strain for drinks and sauces.
Compare with: Chunkier than standard orange peel granules, giving more visible peel and a slower flavour release.
Substitute: Orange peel powder gives smoother dispersion, while fresh zest is brighter but introduces moisture.
Storage: Keep airtight and dry to retain the aromatic oils.
Good to know: The 3-5mm cut is particularly useful in tea blends and baking where distinct pieces of orange peel are part of the finished appearance.
