Ajwain Seeds have a bold, thyme-like aroma with a warm, peppery bite and a slightly bitter edge.
Small but powerful, they release their flavour beautifully when toasted or bloomed in hot oil.
Traditionally used in Indian cooking, ajwain is excellent in dals, breads, pakoras, vegetable dishes and savoury snacks.
A little goes a long way, adding depth, warmth and a distinctive herbal sharpness.
