Chilli Guacamole

The Classic Dip with Chilli Kick

Prep Time: 10 minutes – Yield Serves 2-4 people (depending on how quick you are)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Ripe Avocados
  • ½ Tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1Tbsp Fresh Lime or Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tbsp. of Minced Onion
  • 3-4 De Arbol Chilli Hydrated or ½ Tsp Powder – You can use any chilli here, habanero is hotter or mix and match to create a variation of flavours and heat
  • 2 Tbsp. Fresh Coriander
  • Sprinkle of Freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ Ripe Tomato, seeds and pulp removed – chopped
  • Serve with Tortilla Crisps

Instructions:

  • Cut the Avocados in half and de-stone, scoop out the flesh from the peel and placing a mixing bowl
  • Mash the avocado – but only gently, do not over do
  • Sprinkle with Salt and Lime/Lemon Juice (citrus preserves the avocado)
  • Add the minced onion, coriander, black pepper and your choice of chilli
  • Cover the dish and make sure no air can get to it to keep the colour
  • When you are ready to serve add the chopped tomato
