Ikan goreng is a generic term that refers to various kinds of Indonesian and Malaysian dishes of deep fried fish or other forms of seafood. Ikan goreng literally means "fried fish" in Indonesian and Malay. Ikan goreng is very popular in Indonesia.

Use with fish either in the oven wrapped with a liquid or seasoning skin side and fry

Or simply add 1/2 tsp to a can of tuna and add cooked rice - great snack/light meal

    We tried this with grilled fish and didn't like it at all unfortunately. The combination of spices reads well and it may work in a different sort of dish, but not our cup of tea.
