How to Use

Traditional Pho Broth:
Add 1 tablespoon per litre of broth or water. Place the blend in a spice bag or muslin cloth and simmer gently for 30–45 minutes, then strain. Add your meat, noodles, and herbs to complete the dish.

Recipe: Authentic Vietnamese Pho Using Pho Blend

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

2 L beef or chicken stock (depending on preference)

1 tbsp Pho Blend (in a muslin bag or tea infuser)

1 medium onion, halved and charred

5 cm piece of ginger, charred

300 g beef sirloin or chicken breast, thinly sliced

200 g rice noodles

Fish sauce, to taste

Fresh herbs (Thai basil, coriander, mint)

Bean sprouts, lime wedges, sliced chilli (for serving)

Instructions:

In a large pot, add stock, onion, charred ginger, and Pho Blend.

Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 30–40 minutes to infuse the flavours.

Strain the broth and season with fish sauce to taste.

Cook noodles according to packet instructions, then divide into bowls.

Add thinly sliced meat on top of the noodles.

Pour over the hot broth to cook the meat.

Garnish with herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and chilli.
