How to Use

Soup Base: Add 1 teaspoon per person to simmering water or stock, plus fish sauce and a dash of lime juice for instant Tom Yum broth.

Marinade: Mix 2 teaspoons with oil and lime juice for a zesty chicken, prawn, or tofu marinade.

Stir-fry: Sprinkle 1 teaspoon over vegetables, noodles, or rice for a Thai-inspired twist.

Simmer Bag: For slow-cooked dishes, place 1–2 teaspoons in a spice bag and simmer for 10 minutes for a fragrant infusion.

Recipe – Quick Tom Yum Soup (Serves 2)

Ingredients:

500ml water or chicken/vegetable stock

2 tsp Tom Yum Seasoning

1 tbsp fish sauce (or soy sauce)

1 tsp lime juice (adjust to taste)

100g mushrooms, sliced

6–8 prawns or tofu cubes

Fresh coriander or spring onion for garnish

Method:Bring stock to a gentle boil.

Add Tom Yum Seasoning and simmer for 5 minutes to release the flavours.

Add mushrooms and cook until tender.

Stir in prawns or tofu, cook until prawns turn pink or tofu is heated through.

Finish with lime juice and fish sauce to taste.

Garnish with fresh coriander and serve steaming hot.
