Description

Viking or Druid Smoked Salt is everything you want it to be!

Traditionally the Danish Vikings would take the sea water and pour over the logs next to the open fires, the crystals left behind were scrapped with infused smoked flavoured salt crystals

Today the process is done by importing Juniper wood for Norway, they have the least polluted wood in the world making the smoking process clean and pure, infusing a lovely spicy smokey flavour into very clean North Sea Salt

Some 90% of smoked salts are infused with wood extracts, when you find one that has been done with traditional smoking process you will have a rare smoked salt that needs to be enjoyed and savoured, great on eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes and as for steaks, well that is just a marriage made in nature!

    Worth Every Penny

    Once tried, it becomes an indispensable part of the kitchen. Used on eggs and cheese, the smoky flavours produce something special. The cost is a hurdle, and it took a while before deciding to try it. No regrets. Not much is needed, so in the end it is surprisingly economical.

    This smoked salt is powerful stuff I have used it a few times on BBQ and low and slow cooking great stuff highly recommended

    This is such a good product. The smokiness can be cut with a kitchen knife. I added this to soup, curries, chicken wings, spag bol and marinated several steaks. Indeed 'a little goes a long way' but the way I am using this it is a good thing I bought 2 packs.

    Always well packed, always sent out fast, and it's always a taste adventure! Especially if you order something you haven't had before -- like me. This time, I ordered (in addition to many things) some kala namak. I've heard of black salt before, used in making things taste of egg. I really had no idea until I tasted it just how eggy it really is! The tiniest taste of just a few grains will transform tofu, I guarantee it. The garlic granules are consistently more potent and far better quality than anything you buy at the store, and as the price is similar, this will get you a superior product. I have been shopping with this company off and on for years now, and I have never been disappointed in any part of the shopping experience, or with the quality of their products. But with absolute confidence! :) Bon appetit!

    My only complaint is running out. It's a sad day when you use the last bit. There's smoked salt, and then this walked in and was crowned king!

    The best ingredient in my kitchen by far. Even a jacket potato is transformed with just butter and Viking salt. Fantastic
